VR TRAINING

As part of our VR CARE solution, we provide training for activities coordinators so care providers can ensure that they are being compliant with health & safety when delivering virtual reality sessions with residents and service users. We provide an E-Learning Course that is available for all care staff, the course includes a 25-minute training video and a short multiple choice quiz. A training certificate is provided to each person, which can be downloaded digitally for registering with learning management systems and training logs to show evidence of the training. It's not just about providing evidence of this training, the most important aspect is that the people who deliver the VR sessions need to be aware of the safe procedures, especially when running a VR session with people who live with dementia. The safety is important and also the knowledge of how to run a VR session in a small group activity, a one-to-one session and to discover how to operate the VR headset.

Benefits of our VR Training

1: Safe and Confident Delivery of VR Sessions

Staff gain the knowledge and skills to set up, operate, and supervise VR equipment safely, reducing risks such as motion sickness, disorientation, or misuse.

2: Tailored Activity Planning

Training helps staff design and adapt VR sessions to suit different care settings (care homes, dementia care, domiciliary care, etc.) and meet the unique needs of individuals with varying abilities.

3: Enhanced Resident Engagement and Outcomes

By learning best practices, staff can maximise the therapeutic and social benefits of VR, ensuring residents or clients remain engaged, stimulated, and comfortable.

4: Increased Staff Confidence and Professional Development

A structured course builds staff confidence in using new technology, supports career growth, and enhances the reputation of the care organisation as forward-thinking and innovative.

5: Consistency and Quality of Care Delivery

With trained coordinators and care staff, VR sessions are delivered in a consistent, safe, and person-centred manner, ensuring every individual has a positive and meaningful experience.
